We both grew up neighbors to the Johnsons. We were also Randys classmates. Randy was a good friend, well liked, and respected by everyone. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Randy was a customer but more importantly a friend. Always fun to listen to his stories and his laugh! So sorry for your loss!

Randy was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet or get to know. I was privileged enough to first meet Randy back in the 70s when he was transferred to the Belvidere Green Giant plant and I was a seasonal summer employee. From that first summer we developed a friendship that I will always treasure. Randy was the older brother I never had being a first child in my family. So many happy memories flow through the decades. Time spent with Randy and Barb and the family was always quality time. You could not visit with Randy without inevitably having a good laugh and usually many. Randy was unrelentingly positive even through his recent battle with cancer. Our last conversation was focused on the months ahead and how soon we might be able to get back out on the golf course once the snow melted and spring arrived. My thoughts and prayers are with Barb and the family as we all remember the many good times and face a future without the smile, the laugh, and the essential decency of a great man.
