Obituary of Ella Malnar
Ella “Sally” L. Malnar, 65, of Jefferson, left her earthly home to meet her Savior on Monday, February 25, 2019 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI.
Ella was born on June 3, 1953 in Aurora, IL to Earl and Ella (Jones) Wilkison. Living on a farm during her formative years, Ella gained a great appreciation for animals and was an active participant in the local 4H program. After graduating from Kaneland High School in Maple Park, IL. (Class of 1971), she was employed at Community Hospital , Geneva, IL. as a CNA and received certification as an EMT and eventually joined the Emergency staff as an Ambulance Technician.
Ella married John Malnar on October 13, 1973 in Elburn, IL. John and Ella then moved to Wisconsin in Nov. of 1975 to start a new chapter in their lives. It was here that their 3 children were born. After 13 years, Ella then rejoined the workforce and was employed for over 20 years with the Fort Atkinson Medical Center/Dean Clinic as a receptionist until her untimely death. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, a challenging Sudoku puzzle, but most of all, her passion for taking care of her family. Ella was a member, for many years, of Faith Community Church of Fort Atkinson, serving in various childrens ministries.
She was well known for her infectious smile, positive attitude and welcoming spirit.
She is survived by her husband (of 45 years) John of Jefferson ; children Christopher (Andrea) Malnar, Appleton, WI, Kurtis (Taesha Ciancio) Malnar, Delavan, WI, Kelsey (Caleb) Silveus, New Berlin, WI; grandchildren William and Vivian Malnar, Braeleigh, Vinny and Joe; Sisters Marilyn Long, Sugar Grove, IL, Elma (James) Wilmath, Elburn, IL; Brother Earl Wilkison, Phoenix, AZ; Brother-in-Law Robert Sivert, Elburn, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Karen Sivert and Arlene Wilmath.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Faith Community Church, W5949 Hackbarth Road, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave Fort Atkinson, WI and on Saturday March 9, 2019 from 10:00am until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, please consider memorials to Jefferson EMS or Rainbow Hospice at Johnson Creek.
