Terry Warren Jarlsberg, age 71 of Norman, OK peacefully passed on November 23, 2018 at Brookdale Living Center in Oklahoma City of complications associated with an extended battle against Dementia/Alzheimer’s diseases.
Born on November 12, 1947 in Fort Atkinson, WI. He was the oldest of two children and raised by parents Ole & Iris Jarlsberg of Rockdale, WI. Terry was married to Pat Zimmerman of Cambridge, WI from 1968 to 1988. He was never remarried. Terry has two sons with Pat who blessed them with two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ole & Iris Jarlsberg of Rockdale, WI. and survived by son Ande Jarlsberg of Marietta, GA; son Wade and wife Cara Jarlsberg of Norman, OK; and Grandchildren Jase & Porter Jarlsberg also of Norman, OK. Terry also leaves behind his beloved sister Marcia Jarlsberg of Stoughton, WI and many members of the Jarlsberg & Nottestad families of Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
Terry was educated in Wisconsin at Rockdale Elementary School, Cambridge High School and The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Professionally, he retired after 30 years with General Motors where he was instrumental in the launch of the Oklahoma City Assembly Plant in 1978.
He was an athlete at heart, a baseball man and an avid enthusiast of all University of Oklahoma Athletics.
Grave site service will be held in the spring of 2019 at Rockdale Lutheran Cemetery in Rockdale, WI where Terry will be laid to rest next to his mother and father.
