Obituary of Cheryl Ann Von Rueden

Cheryl Ann Von Rueden, age 62, of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home.

Cheryl was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on August 30, 1956, the daughter of Cyril William and Delores Bertha (Meidl) Schmidt.  She grew up in Lake Mills, Wisconsin and graduated from Lake Mills High School. 

On August 15, 1987, Cheryl married Lawrence “Larry” G. Von Rueden at St. Theresa Catholic Church.  Cheryl worked as a receptionist for Dean Health Care from 1995 until 2011 when she retired due to health reasons.  She enjoyed family gatherings and playing cards.

Surviving are her husband Larry, Cambridge, WI; siblings: Daniel Schmidt, Lake Mills, WI, Gary (Chris) Schmidt, Jefferson, WI, Ron (Claudia) Schmidt, Lake Mills, WI, Brian (Kathy) Schmidt, Jefferson, WI, Julie Schmidt, Fort Atkinson, WI, Steve (Kay) Schmidt, Lake Mills, WI, and Michelle Schmidt, Cottage Grove, WI.  She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Cyril and Delores Schmidt; her daughter Crystal Von Rueden, and a brother-in-law William Von Rueden.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Peter Auer celebrating.  Inurnment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery, Town of Oakland, WI.

Friends may call after 10:00AM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the church until the time of the services.
