Obituary of Estelle S. Wiesmann
Estelle S. Wiesmann, 89 of Fort Atkinson passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Fairhaven Senior Living in Whitewater, WI.
Estelle was born on February 1, 1929 in Watertown, WI to Alvin and Leona (Else) Boettcher. Estelle married Paul Wiesmann on June 30, 1951 in Watertown. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2000. She attended the Milwaukee Conservancy of Music and was a talented performer. Estelle had a long and distinguished career in community theater, performing in over 50 plays with both the Fort Atkinson Community Theatre and the Watertown Players. She had leading roles in Auntie Mame, Steel Magnolias, Fiddler on the Roof and many others. Towards the end of her career Estelle loved to perform her one woman play “Julian”. Flower gardens were another passion of Estelles and her home was a virtual artwork of flower beds. She also volunteered her gardening skills at both St. Joseph Church and Fairhaven.
She is survived by her children Theresa Siegel, California, Robert (Marie) Wiesmann, Fort Atkinson, Steven (Lori) Wiesmann, Fort Atkinson, David Wiesmann, Fort Atkinson; grandchildren Kara, Kevin (Lindy), Christopher, Katie (Nick), Eric, Hannah; great-grandchildren Brooke, Mason, Cylas, Caleb, Cole, Henry, Cora and Bodhi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,son, Thomas and brother, Reuben Boettcher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00am until the time of the service. Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family.
