Obituary of Freida Alma McFarlane

Frieda “Fritzie” Alma McFarlane, 93 Madison, formerly of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Eden Vista Assisted Living in Madison, WI.

Frieda was born on March 26, 1930 in Juneau, WI to Alexander and Alma (Moore) Weissenfluh.  She married  Raymond Schwenn.  Together they had 3 sons; John, James and Jeffrey.  Frieda later married David McFarlane on June 9, 1979.  He preceded her in death on March 19, 2011.  She was employed for 20 years with Bancroft Dairy in Madison as an administrative secretary.  She enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling.

She is survived by her sons John (Sandra) Schwenn, James Schwenn and Jeffrey Schwenn; step-children Julie McFarlane, Dana (Kurt) Fauerbach, Kelly Harrelson, David McFarlane and Mitchell McFarlane; grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Jennifer, Vanessa, Garrett and Kelsey; step-grandchildren Reva and Ross; great-granddaughter Bellamy Schwenn; and several step great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Viola Olson and brother John Weissenfluh.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 10:00am at Nitardy Funeral Home 208 N. Park St. Cambridge, WI 53523.  Burial will follow in the Kroghville Cemetery.
