Obituary of Nina Neupert

Nina Neupert, age 77 of Cambridge WI passed away from a long illness on Monday, October 23, 2023.

 

Nina was born  to Lawrence and Eunice Neupert. She received her MSW from UW Madison and worked as a Social Worker for the State of Wisconsin as well as the Brookfield Elmbrook School District for over 30 years. She promoted her profession at all levels, which resulted in her being awarded the “Midwest School Social Worker of the Year,” and becoming the president of Wisconsin School Social Workers. Nina impacted the lives of many. 

 

After her retirement, she taught classes at MATC Fort Atkinson and served on the Cambridge School Board. 

 

Outside of working Nina was an avid Badger Football fan, enjoyed gardening, traveling, entertaining friends, volunteering, and even built one of the first passive solar houses on Lake Ripley which she was very proud of. 

 

Nina is survived by her sister Jane Feggested, Nieces; Jennifer McMurtry and Sally Rauch, Nephews; Lloyd and Karl Koplin,

 

She is proceeded in death by her parents; Lawrence and Eunice Neupert, Sister; Nancy Koplin, Nephew; Steven Koplin, and her Great Nephew. 

 

A special Thank You to Paul Haffely, her devoted friend for many years who stood by her, supported her, and advocated for her throughout her illness. 

 

Memorials in Nina’s name may be gifted to the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin Chapter. 

 

There will be a private graveside service held.
