Obituary of Betty Frey

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Frey, 92, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg a day before her 93rd birthday.

Betty was born on October 24, 1930 in the town of Christiana to Ruben and Lillian (Legrid) Larson. She married Milo Frey on August 10, 1955 at Rockdale Lutheran Church. Betty was employed by the Bank of Cambridge for her entire working life.

She was a lifelong member of the Rockdale Lutheran Church and participated in many church activities. Betty enjoyed bowling, traveling, and gathering with her family, especially at the annual Christmas Tree event. She truly enjoyed living in the Rockdale area, close to where she grew up. In her last years, she lived at Skaalen Heritage Center, where Betty made many new friends.

Betty is survived by her brother, Warren Larson; nieces, Diane (David Gaarder) Roang, Christine (Gerald) Gross, Kathleen (Scott) Smith; nephews, Dale Larson, Frederick (Laurel) Schmidt, Dale (Ann) Febock, Jon (Mary) Febock, Mark “Fritz” Febock; and brother-in-law, Leslie Haakenson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Lillian Larson; husband, Milo Frey; sisters, Ruth Haakenson, Mildred Larson; brother, Robert Larson; niece, Amy (Larson) Dubois; and nephew, Lynn Febock.

A memorial service will take place at 11AM on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Rockdale Lutheran Church. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service. An inurnment will take place immediately following services at Rockdale Lutheran Cemetery.
