Obituary of Richard James Hill

Richard James Hill, age 64 of Fort Atkinson died Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was born July 16, 1950 in Lansing, Iowa the son of Walter and Margarite (Steiber) Hill. He was raised in the Midwest primarily in Iowa and Milwaukee. Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years and then briefly in the U.S. Army. He was married to Della Gray in Las Vegas on June 11, 1982. Richard worked various jobs but his passion was woodworking. His interests included singing funny songs at Karaoke, camping, fishing, following the Brewers and Packers, and his two dogs: Sadie and Cherie. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Della of Fort Atkinson. 4 children: Jesse Gray of Baraboo Florence (Jeremy) Pfeffer of Olean, NY Justin Hill of Fort Atkinson Cody Hill of Fort Atkinson 3 Grandchildren: MacKenzie, Hannah, and Ethan 2 Brothers: Robert (Isabel) Hill and Ronnie Hill both of Milwaukee Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael. He was a compassionate soul who went above and beyond to care for those in need - especially his wife during her health challenges. He will be greatly missed.
