Obituary of Arthur O. Johnson

Arthur O. Johnson 96, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at The Edgerton Care Center. He was born July 17, 1918 in the town of Pleasant Springs to Elmer P. and Clara (Olson) Johnson. Arthur was baptized and confirmed at the East Koshkonong Church of which he was a lifelong member. After serving his Country for four years in the U.S. Air Force, he married Gladys (Larson) on September 30, 1944. Arthur farmed on the Johnson Family Homestead for 59 years, retiring in 1995. He is survived by four sons: Gary of Stoughton, James (Jane), Charles (Bobbi Sue), Dale (Dawn) all of Cambridge; grandchildren, great grandchild, step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, brother in-law Donald (Barbara) Larson and sister in-law Shirley Johnson, and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gladys Johnson, son Richard Johnson, a brother Earl Johnson, and three sisters Norma, Lenora and Evelyn. Funeral Services for Arthur will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home 208 N. Park St. Cambridge WI. Visitation for Friends and relatives will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Nitardy Funeral Home in Cambridge. Private burial will take place at East Koshkonong Cemetery. Memorials in Arthur�s name may be made to East Koshkonong Church. Arthur�s family would like to thank the staff at Edgerton Long Term Care for their care and compassion throughout his stay.
