Obituary of Glenn R. Eisenbrandt

Glenn R Eisenbrandt, age 90, of Whitewater, WI, formerly of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Fairhaven in Whitewater. Glenn was born in Frankfort, IL on April 9,1925, the son of George and Alice Eisenbrandt. On January 14,1950 Glenn married the love of his life, Myrtle Edith Edom. Together they farmed in Illinois and Wisconsin. They moved to Fort Atkinson in 1955. Glenn was employed by Wisconsin Department of Revenue in 1963 and worked in Janesville and then Madison until his retirement. Glenn was involved in many organizations throughout his life. In his youth in Illinois he was involved with 4-H where he became part of the 4-H National Congress and winner of the National Rural Electrification Award in 1943. Glenn was a long-time member of First Congregational Church of Fort Atkinson serving in many leadership roles. He served 40 years in leadership for Boy Scouts. He was involved with the Tri-County Amature Radio Club (WA9VYL) and on the board of Evergreen Cemetery. He obtained his pilots license, built his own plane, and joined EAA where he spent 20 years volunteering. Of the most importance to him was his family. He is survived by Jacqueline Eisenbrandt, Goodhue, VA, Glenn "Ray" (Lannie) Eisenbrandt, Grand Rapids, MI, Paul (Sherri) Eisenbrandt, Plano, TX, Sally (Ted) Carlson, Hales Corners, WI, David (Anita) Eisenbrandt, Stillwater, MN, along with twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren Glenn was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters and his beloved wife, Myrtle(2009) Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 7:00 PM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 31 W. Milwaukee Street, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Chris Buckingham-Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin at 10AM on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Visitation will be from 6-7PM on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the church until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church, Fairhaven, EAA, Boy Scout, or to the Tri-County Amature Radio Club Scholarship Club.
