Obituary of Audre N. Bennett

Audre N. Bennett, age 89, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Audre was born in Palatine, Illinois on May 24, 1926, the daughter of Ovid and Edith (Wade) Neagle. On December 31, 1952, Audre married Jay William Bennett in Barrington, Illinois. Jay preceded her in death on May 7, 2006. Audre worked for the Barrington High School and for Illinois Gas and Electric Company. She enjoyed knitting, golf, and bowling. Surviving are: her children: Carol (Bill) Congdon, Fort Atkinson, WI and Dean (Pam) Bennett, Park Ridge, IL, grandchildren: Meghan (Andrew) Starrenburg, Christopher Bennett, Dwight Bennett, Devin Congdon, Nick (Tiffany) Congdon, and Ryan Congdon, great-grandchildren: Cameron Starrenburg, and Lily, Nora, and Cayl Congdon. Audre was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers: James, Ovid, and Orris Neagle. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 Barrie Street, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Visitation will be after 10:30AM on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the church until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of the Black Hawk Senior Residence and Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson for their care and compassion, it was very comforting for the family.
