Obituary of Patricia Lucy Fietzek

Patricia Lucy Fietzek, age 66, of Fort Atkinson, WI unexpectedly passed away with her loving family at her side on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. Patricia was born in Watertown, WI on July 15, 1949, the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (Fiedler) Gnabasik. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967. On October 5, 1968, Pat married Roy Richard Fietzek at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson, WI. Pat worked as a nurses� aide at Countryside Home in Jefferson, as a switchboard operator at Hawthorne Melody, and as an office manager for Petrolane, retiring in 1988. Pat was baptized, confirmed, and united in marriage at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson, WI and, after moving to Fort Atkinson in 1968, became a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson where she dedicated herself to the Council for Catholic Women. She enjoyed cross stitching, gardening, camping, and, most of all, her grandchildren. Pat is survived by her husband Roy Fietzek, Fort Atkinson, WI; daughters, Michelle (Mike) Hall, Fort Atkinson, WI, Teresa (Lee) Keeser, Johnson Creek, WI, and Jennifer (Eric) Nokes, Palmyra, WI; grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Hall, Alex and Sami Hall, Ryne, Jordan, and Nathan Hebbe, Tristan Keeser, and Tyler and Jack Nokes; sisters, Genevieve (Don) Wanke and Mary (George) Baxter; sister-in-law, Pat Dillin; many nieces and nephews; and Jesse, the family pet. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Stephen Gnabasik; mother and father in-law, Jake and Edna Fietzek; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Jim Stacey; brother, Gerald Gnabasik; brother-in-law, Rodney Dillin; nephew, Jim Stacey; and niece, Jane Wanke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 12:00PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jefferson, WI with Father John Urban officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI followed by a luncheon at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at 10AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson, WI until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison and to Father Pat for the care and compassion they gave to Patricia. Memorials may be dedicated in Patricia's name to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
