Obituary of Eunice Mae Grandt

Eunice Mae Grandt, age 83, of Baraboo, Wisconsin formerly of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away into eternal life on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Oak Park Place in Baraboo, Wisconsin after a long battle with cancer. Eunice was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin on October 8, 1932 the daughter of Edwin and Margaret (Peich) Maasz. On October 20, 1950, Eunice was untied in marriage with Lawrence William Grandt at St. John's Lutheran Church in Whitewater, WI. They were blessed with 6 boys and 1 girl; Gary (Jan) Grandt, Dale Grandt, and Rod (Gayle) Grandt, all of Fort Atkinson, WI, Lyle (Cherie) Grandt, Menomonie, WI, Brian (Stacy) Grandt, Madison, WI, Keith Grandt, Baraboo, WI and Lori (Todd) Halvorson, Baraboo, WI. She is further survived by a brother Alvin (Hazel) Maasz, Sleepy Eye, MN, 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lawrence. Eunice was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo and loved to sing in the choir with her daughter Lori. Eunice was loved by everyone who happened to meet her; always positive and with a big smile. She will be truly missed but always remembered. A Memorial Service will take place at�10:30AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 301 S. High Street, Fort Atkinson, WI. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be after 9:30AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the church until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church music fund or to St. John's Lutheran School in Baraboo, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
