Obituary of Ann P. Chester

Ann P. Chester, age 88, of Whitewater, WI passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at her home. Ann was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 27, 1927, the daughter of Leo and Anna (Nickels) Pelrine. She attended St. Gregory the Great Elementary and High School. She earned her BA degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1950. Ann lived most of her life in the Chicago area, but retired to the Whitewater area in the late 1970's. She was an avid bird watcher, reader, and enjoyed gardening. She was a Friend of the Library, an Alpha Club member and a volunteer at the William Young Auditorium. She is survived by: Kathryn C. (Dale) Anderson, Tombstone, AZ, Bob (Terri) Chatel, Hoffman Estates, IL, Tom (Lauren) Chatel, Arlington Heights, IL, Randy (Sue) Chester, Rockford, IL, Gillian (Peter) Kulp, Saint Ymez, CA, and Wendy Chester of Los Angeles, CA. She is further survived by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Peter, her parents, two brothers: William and John Pelrine, and a stepson Cameron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main Street, Whitewater, WI.. Visitation will be from 11AM to 12PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the church until the time of the Mass. The family would like to thank the Rainbow Hospice staff for their care and concern for Ann. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
