Obituary of Joan Marie Lampen

Joan Lampen, 77, Whitewater, died Dec. 31, 2015, surrounded by her family. Joan was born on Sept. 7, 1938. Joan was raised by her father Emil Steeger and his sister Anna and her husband Fred Goetz. Joan worked as head of payroll at Alpha Cast and Sharon Foundries for many years. Family was most important to Joan. She loved to cook and meal time was family time.� She always made plenty, so friends were always welcome.� She loved watching tennis, NASCAR and football.� She formed her own fantasy football league with her grandson; often selecting and rooting for the underdog teams. She is survived by her five children Sue (Karl) Stoll, Kathy (Craig) Shellman, Nancy Lampen, Jim Lampen, and Patti (Brad) Lau; seven grandchildren, Renee and Emily Stoll, Jenny (Spencer) Paul, Paul Shellman, Andy (Lydia) Shellman Tyler and Amber Lau; three great grandchildren Connor Shellman, Alysia Collins, and Aubrey Warren; and one brother Jim Steeger. Joan was proceeded in death by her father, an aunt and uncle and one son Kenny. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Nitardy Funeral home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI with Pastor Susan Bresser officiating. Visitation will be after 1:00PM on Sunday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI until the time of the services.
