Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Jacobson

Ruth Elizabeth Jacobson, age 68, of�Fort Atkinson, WI, formerly of�Rockdale, WI, passed away on�Monday, January 4, 2016, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in�Johnson Creek, WI. Ruth was born in Rochester, Minnesota on April 28, 1947, the daughter of�Dr.�Robert and Jean (Wiggers) Mussey. She grew up in Urbana, IL and graduated from the Urbana High School.�Ruth received her Masters of Fine Arts from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.�She�moved to Rockdale to pursue post-graduate work at UW-Madison where she�met Johnnie Jacobson.�They�married on June 30, 1979. They continued to reside in Rockdale where�they�raised their family. Ruth worked�for many years�as a caregiver for the�elderly and�disabled. She was a member of the East�Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. She is survived by her husband: Johnnie Jacobson, Fort Atkinson, WI, Her�Children: Eric (Sabra) Jacobson, Fort Atkinson, WI, Ryan (Erin) Jacobson,�Visalia, CA, Laura (Jesper) Oeraker, Nuuk, Greenland, and Ashley (Chris)�Jacobson, Milburn, OK, Grandchildren: Kellan, Riley, Kenadie, and Ella�Jacobson and Johan Marius and Oliver Oeraker, Two Sisters: Carol Mussey,�Champaign, Il. and Ann (Jan Lucas) Mussey, Corbett, OR, Two Brothers:�Robert (Carol Stocker) Mussey, Milton, MA and David (Fran Doonan) Mussey,�Amesbury, Maine, and One Sister-in-Law, Jean Carlson,�as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from�4-7PM�on�Sunday, January 17, 2016�at the Nitardy�Funeral Home, 208 N. Park Street, Cambridge, WI and after�10:00AM�on Monday�at�the church until the time of the services. Funeral Service will be at�11:00AM�on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the East�Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 454 E. Church Road, Cambridge, WI with Pastor�Brenda Lovick officiating. Inurnment will be at Rockdale Lutheran Cemetery,�Rockdale, WI.
