Obituary of Judith S. Leslie

Judy Leslie (nee Hanson) passed away peacefully on January 27, 2016, at the age of 70. Best friend and beloved wife of 52 years to Henry Leslie. Amazing, loving mother of Michelle and Jackie, proud grandmother of Rebecca and Rachel Jacobs, and Samuel and Benjamin Keyser, and loving and equally dedicated mother-in-law of Matt (Michelle) Jacobs and Dan (Jackie) Keyser. Judy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Shirley Shaffer Harrison Hanson, sisters Beth (Harrison) Schneider and Beverly (Harrison) Hall, and brother Dale Harrison. A lifelong resident of Fort Atkinson, Judy was a prolific gardener, accomplished bridge player and avid reader. For many years, she knitted and donated newborn-baby hats and other children�s items for the Fort Hospital. Judy was a remarkably warm, generous and energetic woman, filled with grace, great courage and strength. She made a difference in all of our lives, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. A special thanks to Rainbow Hospice for the wonderful care and support they provided to Judy and her family. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
