Obituary of Betty Jane Hevey

Betty Jane Hevey, age 92, of Madison, WI formerly of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Oakwood Village in Madison, Wisconsin. Betty was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on August 5, 1923, the daughter of Bernard and Alice (Moldenhauer) Rupprecht. Betty married James R. Hevey in 1940. The couple lived in Fort Atkinson and together raised three children. James preceded Betty in death on July 31, 1997. In 2000, Betty moved to Oakwood Village in Madison, WI. Betty was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Atkinson, WI. Surviving are: Children: Gary (Susan) Hevey, Fancy Gap, VA, Patricia (Charles) Cook, Sun Prairie, WI, and Jane (John) Olisar, Burlington, WI, Grandchildren: Lisa (Dr. Bruce) Drummond, Madison, WI, Christopher (Beth) Cook, Grafton, WI, Andrew (Jessica) Cook, Madison, WI, Katherine (Ryan) Krause, Sun Prairie, WI, Meghan (Scott) Peterson, Burlington, WI, and Stephen Olisar, Milwaukee, WI, Granddaughter-in-law: Leah Hevey, Singapore, Great-Grandchildren: Benjamin and Grace Drummond, Aedan, Dyvan and Ella Hevey, Emma, Alexander, and Merrigan Cook, Piper and Max Cook, Clare and Jack Krause, and Finn and Henry Peterson, and loving daughter-in-law: Lanny Hevey, Lake Mills, WI. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James and her grandson David in 2012. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Village Chapel, 5565 Tancho Drive,Madison,WI 53718 with Rev. Wayne Shannon officiating. Entombment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10-11AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Oakwood Village Chapel until the time of the services. Memorials may be given to the Oakwood Foundation, Madison, WI or to Agrace Hospice of Fitchburg, WI. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
