Obituary of Raymond P. Stritzel

Raymond P. Stritzel, age 88, of Whitewater, WI, �checked out� on Friday February 12, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Raymond was born in Chicago, IL on May 1, 1927, the son of Helen (Malusky) and Maxmillian Stritzel. Raymond �signed a contract with his girlfriend Harriet� in October 1949. That same year, he founded Stritzel & Sons Builders. He remained in business for over 65 years with the help of his faithful crew. To �make a fast buck� he would renovate and resell homes. Ray and Harriet enjoyed being landlords; providing rental housing to many people over the years. Raymond was very social and known by many around town. He enjoyed morning coffee and �talking smart with the big boys�. Raymond was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings, and loving wife Harriet. Raymond is survived by his children, Steve of St. Germain, Jan, Terry (Pam), and Dan (Amy), grandchildren Derek, Ryan (DeAnn), Jenny, Max and Sam and great grandchildren Colton, Carter and Owen. A visitation will be held at Nitardy Funeral Home 550 N. Newcomb St Whitewater WI 53190 on Wednesday February 17th 2016 from 4-8pm. Visitation will also be held at First English Lutheran Church 401 W. Main St. Whitewater WI 53190 on Thursday February 18, 2016 from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater WI. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to The Salvation Army. Friends and family are invited to 841 Brewhouse following the service to celebrate his life and enjoy lunch and a �cold beer from back by the coils�.
