Obituary of Margaret A. Schroeder

Margaret A. Schroeder, age 84, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Margaret was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on June 21, 1931, the daughter of Guy P. and Rose (Byrne) Boos. On June 17, 1950, Margaret married John Frank Schroeder at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan, Wisconsin. John preceded her in death on October 28, 2010. Margaret worked for the Fuller Brush Company as a sales representative. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, watching football, and reading. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Atkinson, WI. Surviving are: Children: Daniel (Mary Kolles) Schroeder, Roseville, MN, Patricia (Fred Wuthrich) Hetzel, Janesville, WI, Joe (Lucy) Schroeder, Pickett, WI, Sue (Bill) Stroupe, Fort Atkinson, WI, Christine Goodman, Janesville, WI, Steve Schroeder, Fort Atkinson, WI, Chuck Schroeder, Fort Atkinson, WI, Kathy (Mark) Mundt, Madison, WI, Mary (Steve) Schroedl, Jefferson, WI, and Matt Schroeder, Madison, WI, Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Rhonda) Agnew, Nicole (Rick) Smith, Samantha Kolles, Molly Kolles-Sowada, Hayley Kolles-Sowada, Steven Kolles-Sowada, Zachery (Erica) Hetzel, Timothy (Jessie) Hetzel, Jonathan (Carmen) Hetzel, David Schroeder, Luke (Kate) Schroeder, Peter Schroeder, John Schroeder, Maria Schroeder, Ruth Schroeder, Eric Stroupe, Nathan Goodman, Sarah Goodman, Kyle (Yuexin Cao) Mundt, and Valerie Schroedl, Great-grandchildren: Alisha Schroeder, Spencer Agnew, Dylan Agnew, Megan Agnew, Andrew Hetzel, Abbie Hetzel, Audrey Hetzel, Colin Kolles-Graves, and Priya Kolles-Graves. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, sisters Mary Lou Boos and Bernice Nelson and a brother Jerome Boos. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd, Fort Atkinson, WI with Father Peter Auer celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the church until the time of the Mass. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson, WI is assisting the family.
