Obituary of Larry C. Zell

Larry C. Zell, age 74, of Whitewater, WI formerly of Fort Atkinson, WI, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. Larry was born in Huron, South Dakota on October 24, 1941, the son of George and Alice (Goudy) Zell. He graduated from Cavour High School in South Dakota and attended Wartburg College in Iowa. Larry spent 35 years in the agriculture business, managing Co-ops. Upon retirement, his passions were woodworking, fishing, hunting, and gardening. Larry married Cheryl Walter of Huron, South Dakota at the American Lutheran Church on July 19, 1965. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, WI. Surviving are his wife Cheryl, two sons: Jonathon (Dawn)l, Germantown, WI, and Ryan, Minnetonka, MN, extended son and daughter: Shawn and Tera McCulloch, Grandson: Cameron Zell Hoehn, Boulder, CO, Mother: Alice (Goudy) Zell, Huron, SD, Sister: Jean (Gary) Rieniets, Dubuque, IA, Brother: Lyle (Annette) Zell, Huron, SD, Special Friends: Ted and Becky Reeb, and Joe Burrow, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will take place at the Nitardy Funeral Home, 550 N. Newcomb Street, Whitewater, WI on Saturday March 12, 2016 for 11AM to 1PM with a private family service to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, WI or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, Wisconsin.
