Obituary of Louise Tellefson Rucks-Hazel

Hazel Tellefson Rucks Born: Hazel Draeger, September 13, 1918 in Hebron WI to Emil and Caroline (Huppert) Draeger. Hazel died Sunday, March 13, 2016. Married Willard Tellefson 7/1/37. He died 2/19/1982. Married Willard Rucks 6/10/90. He died 9/13/1994. Hazel was a waitress, homemaker, farmer and employee of McIntyre Floral. Hazel�s last years she made and donated hundreds of baby quilts to hospitals and orphanages throughout Wisconsin and the world. Hazel was a member of East Koshkonong Lutheran Church and served on many of its organizations. She was also a member of the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her sister Norma Zito of Beloit, WI., son Ronald/Eileen of Gig Harbor, WA, daughters; Ronda/Lloyd Christianson of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Sheryl/Joe Rudisi of The Villages, FL, Wendi Anderson of Lakeville, MN, Joan Henke, longtime companion of deceased son Dale, Sun Prairie, WI. Hazel had 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her step children: Joan Treadway, Rollin/Helen Rucks, Linda/Eric Linnerud, and Carol Rucks, widow of Lavern; seven step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: and her son Dale, her special friend LaVerne Reinke, and stepson Lavern Rucks. Visitation will be held at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 2:00 � 3:00 PM, followed by the funeral at 3:00 PM. Her interment will be held on Monday, March 21, at the East Koshkonong Lutheran Cemetery, at 10:00 AM. Memorials can be made to East Koshkonong Lutheran Church, Fairhaven Senior Living in Whitewater, or to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fairhaven, Dr. Wedl, and the staff at Rainbow Hospice for the care they gave to Hazel. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Cambridge, WI is assisting the family.
