Obituary of Jessie L. Belstner

Jessie L Belstner, age 103, of Fort Atkinson, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Sienna Crest in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Jessie was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on August 5, 1912, the daughter of Fayette Hart and Hulda (Pelchen) Carnes Sr. Jessie was a graduate of Fort Atkinson High School, Class of 1932. On August 11, 1932, Jessie married Leonard F. Belstner in Rockford, IL. Leonard preceded her in death on November 2, 1993. Leonard worked at Edgewater Stock Farm from 1929 to 1964. Jessie was active in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She worked for Pioneer Nursing Home in Fort Atkinson and the Fort Health Care Center. Jessie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson, WI. Surviving are: Children: Joanne Belstner, Fort Atkinson, WI and Leonard "Skip" (Bunny) Belstner, McFarland, WI, Grandchildren: Daniel Belstner, Arizona, Timothy (Lisa) Belstner, Jefferson, WI, and Bobbi Belstner, Jackson, WI, Three great-granddaughters: Tamara, Nadenne, and Peyton and a great-grandson Ryan, Two great-great-grandchildren, Sister: Genevieve Westphal, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two sisters-in-law: Ethel Carnes and Betty Schimming, and many nieces and nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard, three sons: Ronald, Rodger, and Robert, a grandson Kenneth Belstner, brothers: Howard, Woodrow, Harvey, and Fayette Jr., sisters: Dorothy Wescott, Evelyn Schimming, Edna Knoeppfel, and Hazel Draeger. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson, WI with Rev. Russell Frees Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Cold Spring Cemetery, Town of Cold Spring, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 9-11AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church until the time of the services.
