Obituary of Harold E. Forsberg

Harold E. Forsberg, 89, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 3, 2016. Harold was born October 5, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Ernst and Elsie Forsberg. He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1944. He served in the Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. Harold married Dorothy Overhulse on June 17, 1949 in Maywood, Illinois. The family lived in the Chicago suburbs where he was a draftsman at International Harvester. He then ran his father�s business at a machine shop called Korrect Kutting. Harold started his own business called Research Equipment Company that made radiation-shielding windows for nuclear studies. He moved his family to Fort Atkinson in 1966 when he accepted a job at Burdick Corporation in Milton, Wisconsin. After 20 years he left the company as president. After Burdick, Harold worked in real estate, and performed audits for Howard Schultz Company until he retired in 1996. Surviving Harold are his four children, Pam (Dan) Pundsack, Platteville, Wisconsin, Mark (Mary Ann) Forsberg, Hartland, Michigan, Dr. Craig (Darlene) Forsberg, West Salem, Wisconsin, and Caryn (Ken) Borchardt, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Anderson, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; and brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Gulley, Longview, Texas. Preceding him in death were his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy, his parents, sister-in law, Helen Gulley, and brother-in-law, Paul Anderson. A memorial service will be held to honor Harold�s life on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Faith Community Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Community Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family. �Whom have I in heaven but Thee?
