Obituary of Anita Grace Helser

Anita Grace Helser, 84, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Anita was born on June 10, 1938 in Monroe, WI to Alfred and Mabel (Anderson) Hawthorne.  She graduated from Monroe High School in 1956.  Anita worked for over 20 years at the Wal-Mart store in Whitewater.  She enjoyed gardening, football, getting together with friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Curt Osenga, Jefferson, Darja Osenga, Monroe, Bonni Osenga, Janesville and Beverli (Butch) Zimmerman, Fort Atkinson; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ralph Hawthorne and sisters, Zelda Siedschlag and Marian Walters. A celebration of Anita’s life will be held at a later date.
