Obituary of Harriet Millard

Harriet Millard Age 89, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Fort Atkinson Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1928 in Whitewater, the daughter of the late Carl and Bessie (Doud) Kienbaum. She married Chester Millard in 1952 in Delavan,Wisconsin, he preceded her in death in 1996. Together they raised a family. Harriet volunteered at Whitewater Food Pantry for over 38 years, while raising her family and being a homemaker. She enjoyed reading books and watching sports. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Whitewater. Harriet's survivors include her children: Curtis (Maureen) Millard of Fort Atkinson, a daughter Ellen Millard of Whitewater and a daughter in law Laurie Millard of Reedsburg; 4 grandchildren Bryan Millard, Danielle (Aaron) Kramer, Megan (Wesley Chiu) Millard and Erin Millard; 1 great granddaughter Maxine Kramer. Harriet is further survived by a brother Carl Kienbaum and sisters in law Ruth, Frances and Lucille. She was preceded in death by her son David in 2004, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, 11:00 am. Family and friends will be received on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the hour of the service. Interment will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park in Janesville. Fondly known as "The Soul Of The Earth".
