Obituary of Richard Seavert

Richard� SEAVERT, age 76, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, �May 6, 2009, with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at his side on the farm that he loved. �Richard was born on July 8, 1932 the son of Edwin and Verna (Bennin) Seavert on the family farm where he was raised and spent his entire life.� He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School.� He was a lifetime dairy farmer and even in his later years did "window farming".� On June 30, 1951, Richard married Shirley Jean Burkhard at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.� Shirley preceded him in death on January 14, 2006.� Richard was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson and it's Men's Club. He bowled with the Lutheran Men's League and was an avid hunter.� He enjoyed watching western movies, especially those with John Wayne, and NASCAR - cheering on� his Fords. He loved family time at the cottage, and viewing wildlife in the outdoors. �Surviving are: Four Children: Vickie (Barry) Strommen, Fort Atkinson, WI, �Debra (Rod) Pennewell, Fort Atkinson, WI, �Rick (Sue) Seavert, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Scott (Jill) Seavert, Fort Atkinson, WI, 11 Grandchildren: Chad (Jodie) Strommen, Jason (Tara) Strommen, Joshua Strommen, �Corey Pennewell, �Jamie (Lesley) Pennewell, �Casey (Meg) Pennewell, Brady Pennewell, and Julie, Lisa, Isaac and Caleb Seavert, 8 Great-Grandchildren: Ashley, Jocelyn and Marcus Strommen, �Tyler, Mikayla and Jayden Pennewell, Destinee Stout and Alexandra Torrez, Brother: Ronald L. Seavert, Fort Atkinson, WI. and Sister-in-Law: Wava (Orrin) Austin, Fort Atkinson, WI. �Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. �Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:00AM at� St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Michael Duncan and Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating.� Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. �Friends may call after 9:00AM on Saturday at the church until the services. �The Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson is assisting the family
