Obituary of Eleanor Ruth Miller

Eleanor Ruth MILLER, age 85, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, WI. �Eleanor was born in Diamond Lake, Illinois on May 18, 1924, the daughter of William and Ella (Towner) Stoerp.� She graduated from Crystal Lake High School.� On September 6, 1952, Eleanor married Robert A. Miller in the First United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake, Illinois.� After 51 years of marriage, Robert preceded her in death on November 22, 2003.� Eleanor was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Whitewater, Wisconsin.� She was a wonderful cook, baker, seamstress and bird lover.� �Surviving are: Son: Lawrence (Mary) Miller and granddaughter, Melissa of Capron, IL, and Son: Richard (Linda) Miller and granddaughter, Mieke of Janesville, WI, and her brother: Frederick (Nettie) Stoerp of Woodstock, IL. �Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. �Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, Wisconsin.� Burial will be in the Heart Prairie Cemetery,� Heart Prairie, Wisconsin. �Friends may call from 5-7PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI and after 10:00AM on Thursday at the church until the services. �Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the LaGrange Fire and Rescue or to the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, Wisconsin.
