Obituary of Helen Annie Jones

Helen A. JONES, age 101, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Black Hawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson, WI. Helen was born in the town of Koshkonong, Wisconsin on July 11, 1907, the daughter of William and Ida (Frandria) Cullen. On April 16, 1930, Helen married George Jones. Helen and George worked side by side farming in Milton and Fort Atkinson until they retiried in 1966. Her beloved husband, George passed away in June of 1969. Helen really enjoyed activites with her family, especially a good card game. She enjoyed baking and was an excellent cook. Helen was a long standing member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson where she was an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was a charter member of AARP. Surviving are: Daughter: Norma Halverson, Milton, WI, Sister: Eva Hinkel, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Sue (Dan) Enloe, Janeville, WI, and Mike Halverson, Milton, WI, Great-Grandchildren: Jeff DeSormeau, Temple, AZ, Danielle Enloe and Matthew Enloe, Janesville, WI, Joshua Halverson, Chicago, IL, and Jenny (John) Traynor, Milton, WI, and also a great-great-granddaughter: Faith Traynor, Milton, WI. Helen was preceded in death by her husband George, three sisters, Margaret Cullen, Verna Dadmun and Ethyle Johnson. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 11:00AM at the St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Michael Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 5-7PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Fort Atkinson and after 10:00AM on Thursday at the church until the services.
