Obituary of Jose Angel Zamora

Jose Angel Zamora Sr., age 82, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, in Madison, WI. Jose was born on August 2, 1926, to Francisco and Cleotilde (Cano) Zamora in Durango, Meixco. In 1947 Jose married Margarita Carrillo, in Mexico. Jose worked for 17 years at Alpha Cast in Whitewater, and then in 1987, he worked for Palmer-Hamilton in Elkhorn until retiring in 2007. Jose loved to work and spend time with his family. He enjoyed watching softball games. Surviving are: Wife: Margarita Zamora, Whitewater; Son: Othon (Guadalupe) Zamora, Whitewater; Son Evelio (Maria) Zamora, Decatur, TX; Daughter: Ana M. (Alfredo) Lira, Whitewater; Son: Jose Jr. (Kathy) Zamora, Whitewater; Daughter: Herlinda Zamora, Austin, TX; 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great- Grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Jose was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Juan Zamora. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009, at 11am at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, with Fr. Rafael Rodriguez officiating. Burial immediately to follow service at Calvary Cemetery in Whitewater. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
