Just found out about this (Sept 2012) I knew Glenn when we were at Kincheloe AFB in Upper Michigan. We re-established contact about 5 years ago; unfotrtunately, I again lost his contact information in a computer crash.
God rest.

I was thinking about Dr. Haban today and decided to google him, so that I could call him and thank him for all of his help when he was my professor at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa. I think of him often because he was my absolute favorite professor in college. The semester I took his General Psychology class, a young lady in our class, named Atonia Jean Flores died in a car accident in Nov. of 2003. I had become a good friend of hers. I remember that she made a trip to TN and brought him some BBQ from his favorite BBQ place. I was very sad by her death and he helped me through that phase of my mourning. I mourn now for him and your family. I know its been over a year since he passed but I can tell you I loved him for his heart to teach and teach with humor. He told me about squirrels that were infesting his garage. So he made makeshift traps to catch them. It was a funny story. I hope you receive this. Thank you for sharing your Glen with the world...

To the family of Dr. Glenn Haban,
My family and I just learned of Dr. Habans passing and send our condolences to his family. We became associated with him after my younger brother sustained a TBI from a motorcycle accident and Dr. Haban was his Neuropsychologist. He was known by my younger brother as "the cookie monster" because he always wanted Dave to bring cookies for him. He had a way of developing special bonds with his patients. He was also in charge of the family support group in Waterloo. After he left the Waterloo area, my mother and I took over the family suppport group and are still active in it, but it has not been the same since he left. He was a very special man and will be missed by all that knew him.
With Sympathy, The Mott Family

I just called Siskin hospital to speak with Dr. Haban, he helped my son during his rehabilitation from a terrible car accident just last May 2009.
I was shocked to hear the tragic news. I only knew him from the times he would visit and talk with my son.
He definitely had a wonderful spirit and was a great encourager!
Trevor, my son really enjoyed his visits and appreciated him sharing some of his lifes adventures such as Skydiving, etc.
We wish to express our deepest sympathy to your family for your loss.
