Myrtle A THORMANN, age 94, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2009, at the Golden Living Center, in Fort Atkinson, WI. Myrtle was born in Oak Hill, Wisconsin on February 26, 1915, the daughter of Albert and Lottie (Rickerman) Steinka. On April 30, 1937, Myrtle married Walter C. Thormann in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Walter preceded her in death on August 28, 1972. Myrtle worked as a nurses aid for Countryside Home in Jefferson for 20 years. She was a very caring and loving person to those around her. Surviving are: Son: Carl (Sharon) Thormann, Hebron, WI, Son: Albert (Diane) Thormann, Fort Atkinson, WI, Daughter: Lenora (Anton) Allert, Fort Atkinson, WI, Nine Grandchildren and Six Great-grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter, Son; John Thormann, Grandson; Anton Allert Jr., Great-Grandson; Craig Thormann, four brothers and a sister. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 12, 2009, at 11:00am at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Monday, October 12 from 9:00am until the services.
