Obituary of Sylvia Carolyn Sunburn

Sylvia Carolyn SUNBURN, age 89, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Fairhaven, in Whitewater. Sylvia was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 27, 1920, the daughter of Paul and Sylvia (Hetzler) Anspach. Sylvia received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wittenburg College in Springfield, Ohio. During WWII, Sylvia worked as a classification analyst at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio and Hickhan Field, Hawaii. On June 28, 1947, Sylvia married Rev. John Harvey Sunburn in Columbus, Ohio. John preceded her in death in May of 2003. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Atkinson. Surviving are: Two Daughters: Ruth (Dan) Varner, Beaufort, NC, and Sarah (Roy) Ashkenaz, Jacksonville, FL, Grandchildren: Paula Ellis, Levi and Travis Varner, Gabriel, Eli, Zebulon, Jonathan & Jesse Trinity and Abigail Forster and Nine Great-Grandchildren. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. John Harvey Sunburn, a daughter, Audrey Sunburn, a brother Paul Anspach Jr., two sisters: Phyllis Thomson and Sarah "Sally" Kepple and a grandson Sabbath Trinity. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Fairhaven in Whitewater, Wisconsin. The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family,
