Hello Phil, John and I were talking with fondness of our time in the farmhouse has your neighbors. We decided to see if you were on facebook, and were shocked to discover instead this blog. Although it has been more than thirty years since we were your neighbors, we remember well how pleasant it was to visit, eat meals together, play with the dog (Lief, I believe) and if I recall right, Paula and I even did some basking in the Wisconsin sun together. Please know that our hearts are touched by the sorrow you have experienced. We pray that God's peace has carried you through this time and that you are strengthened today with his joy and presence.
Many blessings,
John and Anita Koeshall

Phil, Joshua, Jenna and Chloe,
Words cannot express my sadness upon learning of both Paula's illness and death. My hope was to be able to come down from Tomahawk for the funeral, but circumstances will not allow me. As her hairdresser for almost 25 years I have wonderful memories of all of you. I knew you all through Paula's eyes. I remember when both Josh and Jenna were adopted and the happiness of Paula's love for both of you. I also remember when she found out she was pregnant with Chloe and how happy she was. I watched you all grow up and the love and pride she had for all of you. I can't even begin to say I share your grief but know that all my thoughts and prayers will be with all of you today as you celebrate Paula's life.
Again, know that I am with you in my thoughts and prayers today. I am sorry that I cannot be there.
With lots of love
Kim Ann Beller

Phil,
I was so sad to read about Paula's death. What a vibrant and clever girl and woman. So many fun memories of our short time as room mates and spending time with her Walnut, IA with the Dana group and of course, you and Paula together at Dana. Such a shock, such a loss. Please accept my most sincere sympathy.
Warmly,
Nancy

Dear Phil and family,
We have been very saddened by the news of Paula's illness and now your loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Paula was such a lovely person and I enjoyed getting to know her as she visited my store in Cambridge.
There really are no words to convey comfort at a time like this. Just know you and your family are loved.
Sincerely,
Susan and Tom Welch
