Obituary of Virginia Elizabeth Wutti

Virginia Elizabeth WUTTI, age 90, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Fairhaven, in Whitewater. Virginia was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on July 23, 1919, the daughter of Herman and Elsa (Francksen) Burgchardt. She earned a degree in Home Economics from UW-Stout. Viriginia married Alvin Wutti on December 22, 1943 in Greensboro, North Carolina. They moved to Juneau, Wisconsin in 1947, and she taught home economics at the high school. In 1956, the family moved to Whitewater and Virginia taught at Mukwonago High School and completed her career at Whitewater High School, teaching home economics and family development. Virginia was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Whitewater, the Alpha Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and University Faculty Wives (Dames) Club. She was an avid Whitewater bridge player including duplicate bridge. Surviving are: Daughter: Trisha Doshi, Whitewater, WI, two Grandsons: Emmanuel Doshi of Colorado, and Michael Doshi of Los Angeles, and a Brother: Bob Burkhart of LaCrosse, WI. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died in 1971, and her sister Ruth Logan in 2008. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 2:00PM at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Craig Jan-McMahon officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 1:00PM on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the church until the services.
