Obituary of Lyle Jean Pester

Lyle Jean PESTER, age 77, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Fairhaven Corp, in Whitewater. Lyle was born in the Town of Cold Spring, Wisconsin on July 3, 1932, the son of Walter and Emily (Clemmons) Pester. He resided in the Whitewater area his entire life. On March 20, 1954, Lyle married Mildred Strait in Whitewater, WI. Mildred preceded Lyle in death on November 3, 2003. Lyle was a dairy farmer for 50 years, retiring in 2000. He served on the Cold Spring Town Board for over 30 years. Lyle was a member of the Cold Spring Community Club and a 50 year member of the National Holstein Association. Lyle was a member of the United Methodist Church in Whitewater. He enjoyed being active in local town activities, the Whitewater JayCees and serving as a dairy leader for Stone School 4H. Surviving are: Daughter: Linda (Tom) Dykstra, Randolph, WI, Two Granddaughters: Leslie Dykstra and Emily Dykstra, Step-Grandson Joseph Dykstra stationed in Bahrain with the US Navy and Brother: Bryon Pester, Houston, TX. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mildred. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 30, 2009, at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Glenn Skatrud officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 5-8PM on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater and after 10:00AM on Monday at the church until the services.
