My favorite memories of Uncle Norm are of Grandma and me visiting him on an early summer day. He showed me his pigeons and explained how they could find their way back to the coop after he released them far away from home. Then we toured his vegetable garden and he cut giant stalks of rhubarb which he gave to Grandma to cook. I thought the rhubarb leaves were as big as elephant ears. We ate raw peas from the vine. It was a perfect day.
