Obituary of June Louise Meske

June L. Meske, age 85, of Fort Atkinson, died on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Blackhawk Senior Residence in Fort Atkinson, WI. June was born in Whitewater, WI on June 1, 1924 to August and Esther(Cooper) Piepenburg. She graduated from Whitewater High School in 1942. On May 7, 1949 June married Howard Meske at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitewater, WI. June and Howard farmed for many years in the Jefferson County area. Howard preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. She enjoyed playing cards and reading the newspaper. She was always concerned for those around her and loved going to her class reunions. June was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by her two Sons; Richard(Judy) Meske of South Wayne, WI and Keith (Ellen) Meske of Jefferson, WI., Daughter; Joyce(Brian) Hammel of Elkhorn, WI., Grandchildren; Jeff(Jayne) Meske, Robin(Tracy) Roudebush, Allan(Stacey) Meske, Matthew(Michelle Strohm) Meske, Mark Meske, Brittany, Amanda and Brandi Hammel, Great-Grandchildren; Mindy, Emily, Haylee and Kara Meske.June was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 11:00am at the St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 301 S. High St., Fort Atkinson, WI. with Rev. Paul Scharrer and Rev. Michael Duncan officiating. Burial will take place in the Cold Spring Cemetery, located in Town of Cold Spring, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Monday, November 30, 2009 from 5-7pm at St. Paul�s Ev. Lutheran Church and on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 10am until the time of the service. For those planning an expression of sympathy, you may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul�s Ev.
