Obituary of Elsie P. Dalby

Elsie P. Dalby, age 93, of Rural Cambridge, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Wellington Place, Fort Atkinson. She was born on May 11, 1916 in Fort Atkinson to Charles and Rose (Schafer) Bass. On September 29, 1936 she married George Dalby who passed away on May 4, 1982. Elsie was a member of East Koshkonong Church, Southwest Oakland Mother's Club, and Obedience Circle. She was known for the excellent cakes that she baked. Surviving are: 3 sons; Raymond (Shirley) Dalby, Cambridge; Earl (Louise) Dalby, Cambridge; and John (Brenda) Dalby, Fort Atkinson; grandchildren: Debbie (Steve) Kenseth, Fort Atkinson; Joy Smith, Jefferson; Dale Dalby (Patti), Fort Atkinson; Wendy Dalby, Fort Atkinson; Wanda Kelzenberg, Oregon; Ginger (Timm) Mepham, Fort Atkinson; Mark Dalby, Edgerton; 8 great grandchildren: Megan (Cody) Peterson, Melissa Dalby, Elizabeth, Natalie, and Sarah Mepham, Ariel Kelzenberg, Rob Gosda, and Courtney Dalby; 2 step-great grandsons: Jeffrey Lefave and Thomas Gosda; and several nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers: Leonard, Silas, Matthew, and William; 3 sisters: Stella Rueth, Evelyn Bass, and twin sister, Alice Hanson; and great-great grandson, AidenYanke. Funeral will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at East Koshkonong Church, 454 E. Church Rd, Cambridge WI at 11:30am. Friends may call from 10am until the time of service at the church.
