Obituary of Lucille Elizabeth Wendt
Lucille Elizabeth Wendt
Passed away peacefully February 1, 2010 at age 85.
�Beloved wife of the late William Wendt.
�Loving mother of Frank and Sherri Rath. Dearest Granny to
Gregory and Laura.
Lucille was born August 29, 1924 in Jefferson Wisconsin, the daughter
of John and Edeltraud Popp.

Loved by sisters Hyacinth, Lorraine, Irene and Marie, brothers Bernard, Raymond and Earl, and brother and sister in law Ernest and Lorraine Baneck. She will be missed dearly by Gregory's special love Kori and son Aiden, Laura's special friend Davion, many nieces, nephews, family and friends
Lucille graduated in 1942 from Jefferson High School. She fell in
love and married John Rath
on May 20, 1944. Raising their son, buying a home and happy with
life's little pleasures.
Not many have two great loves but, after John's death in 1965 she
married William Wendt on
October 25, 1969. They enjoyed many happy years together dancing,
playing cards and eating out.
Lucille worked at Ft Atkinson hospital until her retirement. She
loved gardening, sewing,
attending her grandchildren's sporting events and travel with her
family. She was an avid Packer,
Badger and Brewer fan, listening to games on her radio.
Lucille's family extends heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends and
neighbors whom enabled her
to live a full life. Thanks to Wellington Meadows and Hospice for
comforting her in the last weeks
and months.
Lucille was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish, Fort Atkinson, WI
where visitation
will be on Saturday, February 6, 2010
from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Jay Poster celebrating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Memorials appreciated to Catholic Charities or Rainbow Hospice of
Jefferson County.
