Obituary of Velma Francis Zwiefelhofer

Velma Francis Zwiefelhofer, age 90, of Cambridge, WI, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Our House in Cambridge. Velma was born on January 3, 1920 in Gothenburg, NE to Scott and Bertha ( Anderson ) Osborne. After the family moved to the Seattle WA area, Velma met and married Ernest Zwiefelhofer on January 14, 1938, and welcomed their only daughter MaryAnne in December of the same year. Velma enjoyed a life of hunting and fishing, as well as travel and helping to raise her extended family. She and Ernie remained married until Ernest�s death in May of 1998, at which time Velma moved to the Cambridge, WI area to be with her two great grandsons. Surviving are: Daughter: MaryAnne Phillips, Sterling, AK; 2 Grandsons: Kent Owens, Cambridge, WI, and Mark Owens, Bellingham, WA; 2 Great-Grandsons: Shaun and Joshua Owens, both of Cambridge, WI; 2 Nephews: LeRoy and Francis Osborne, both of Gothenburg, NE. A family memorial will be held this spring in the mountains of Eastern Washington at Velma and Ernie�s favorite hunting camp. The family wishes to thank the staff of Our House Senior Living and the staff of Rainbow Hospice for their care and concern.
