Obituary of Margaret G. Friedl

Margaret G FRIEDL, age 93, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010, at Mercy Hosptial in Janesville, WI. Margaret was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 20, 1917, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Wenges) McKenna. On September 4, 1937, Margaret married William E. Friedl in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Margaret was one of the founders of the Whitewater Lioness Club and was a member of the Whitewater Homemakers Club. Margaret did needlepoint, knitting and she made hand tied quilts and rag rugs. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Moose Lake in Antigo, Wisconsin. Surviving are: Son: Clayton (Carol) Friedl, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Deborah (Marc) Roe, Whitewater, WI, Scott (Significant Other: Amy Kirner) Friedl, Cross Plains, WI, Timothy Friedl, Fort Atkinson, WI, William Wendt, Whitewater, WI, and Douglas Wendt, Whitewater, WI, Step-Grandchildren: Debi (Steve) Owens, Janesville, WI, Dianna (Leonard) Nichols, Brodhead, WI, William (Wendy) Roth, Juda, WI, Denise (Derek) Heydn, Evansville, WI, and Dawn (Roger) Suprise, Footville, WI, Great-Grandchildren: Rachel and Evan Welter and thirteen step-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Maureen Friedl, brothers: Donald and George McKenna and a sister Myrtle Bentz. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 6:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Pastor Gene Schrank officiating. Entombment will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 4:00PM on Sunday at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater until the services.
