Obituary of Gregory W. Peternell

Gregory Peternell, age 62, of Fort Atkinson, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Willowbrook Nursing Home in Lake Mills. He was born in Shakopee, MN on August 27, 1947 to Herbert and Josephine (Ward) Peternell. Greg graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1965, and from UW-Whitewater in 1972. On June 13, 1970 he married Pam Nitz in Belle Plaine, MN. Greg worked as a CPA starting in 1983, and belonged to the National Assoc. of CPAs. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the local Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife: Pam Peternell, Fort Atkinson; son: Curt (Sara) Peternell, Houston, TX; daughter: Emily (Jason) Smith, Cross Plains, WI; 2 Sisters: Peggy (Bryan) Pitts, Burmingham, AL and Shelley Peternell, Milton, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
