Obituary of Phyllis C. Dunham

Phyllis C. (Bromley) DUNHAM, age 91, of LaGrange, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Fairhaven in Whitewater. Phyllis was born December 25, 1918, in LaGrange Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick G. and Ruth (Hackett) Bromley. She married Wallace J. Dunham on December 28, 1944. They farmed on Heart Prairie throughout their married life. Phyllis was a member of the LaGrange United Methodist Church and was active with the United Methodist Women. She was general leader of the LaGrange Livewires 4-H Club for many years and volunteered at the Lakeland Nursing Home well into her eighties. �Phyllis is survived by 2 sons, Dick (Dianne) Dunham of Whitewater and Jim Dunham of Reserve, NM, a daughter, Mary Dunham of LaGrange; 3 grandchildren: Chris (Kat) Dunham of LaGrange, Julie (Justin) Treder of New Berlin and Kathleen Dunham of LaGrange; 1 great-granddaughter, Emerson Dunham, 2 sisters, Shirley (Dean) Taylor of LaGrange and Martha (Jim) Dawson of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Wally; a sister, Beth Bromley; a brother, Fred Bromley; and a niece and a nephew. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, at 7:00PM at the United Methodist Church of LaGrange. There will be visitation from 6:00PM until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the LaGrange United Methodist Church or the Lauderdale-LaGrange Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
