Obituary of Elmer L. Hackbarth

Elmer L. HACKBARTH, age 94, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Welllington Meadows in Fort Atkinson, WI. Elmer was born in the town of Koshkonong, Wisconsin on August 22, 1915 to William and Clara (Delzer) Hackbarth. On September 11, 1954 Elmer married Helen Gottschalk. Helen preceded Elmer in death on June 4, 1978. Elmer farmed on Hackbarth Road until his retirement and was pleased to have a portion of the family farm included in Mush-Ko-Se-Day Park. Surviving are: Nieces and nephews. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: twin sister Esther (William) Hausz, Florence (Robert) Steinke and Mavis (Paul) Shadel and a special friend Adeline Lucas. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. Paul�s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Paul Scharrer officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10:00AM on Tuesday at the church until the services. Special thanks to Dr. Donald Bates, Wellington Meadows and Rainbow Hospice staffs for the care and respect they showed Elmer in his final days. The Nitardy Funeral Home is assisting the family
