Obituary of Marilyn Joyce Veum

Marilyn J. Veum of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Hospice Care Inc. Fitchburg. She was born on May 12, 1933 in Union WI to Harold and Nellie (Gardner) Klusmeyer. Marilyn graduated from Evansville High School and attended U.W. Stout. She married Robert Veum on June 20, 1953 in Evansville WI Marilyn worked as a Teachers Aide for close to 20 years at Cambridge Elementary School. Marilyn was an active member of East Koshkonong/ WELCA. She was also a member of the Light Circle, Stewardship Quilting Group, and the Christiana Bluebirds Homemakers Group where she was one of eight charter members; she was recently honored for 50 years of membership by University of Wisconsin Extension. Marilyn thoroughly enjoyed her friends especially the Friday a.m. coffee girls, Saturday a.m. breakfast group her weekender traveling group and the Hillsiders card club and the third Thursday card club. Marilyn was also a former member of the Hillside Mothers Club. Marilyn is survived by: Husband Robert, Daughter Pam (Jim) Wiora, Mauston, Sons, Randy (Beth), Robbie (Monica) of Cambridge, Steve (Kim) Veum of Raleigh, N.C., Grandchildren; Aaron, Amanda (Aaron) Lehman and Andrew Veum, Chris, Ben and Greg Wiora, Annie, Ellie and Reid Veum, Great Grandchildren; Mya and Ava Lehman. Sister; Lois Klusmeyer, Oshkosh, WI. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Nick Wiora. Service for Marilyn will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church 454 E. Church Rd. Cambridge WI 53523 with Pastor Clint Schnekloth officiating. Friends may call from 4- 7 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Nitardy Funeral Home 208 N. Park St. Cambridge, and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care Inc. or American Cancer Society
