Obituary of Mary Lou Donkle

Mary Lou DONKLE, age 83, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at her home. Mary Lou was born in Fort Atkinson on April 3, 1927, the daughter of Jay Otto and Margaret (Eiden) Menzel. On April 9, 1949, Mary Lou married William Edward Donkle at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Atkinson. Bill preceded her in death on June 10, 2009. Bill and Mary Lou owned and operated the Fort Fur Company in Fort Atkinson. She was a secretary at Fort Atkinson High School for over 20 years. Mary Lou was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Fort Atkinson. She enjoyed her bridge club and collecting angels. Mary Lou loved the Christmas Season. Surviving are: Two Daughters: Susan (Eldon) Kenseth, Cambridge, WI, and Sally (Randy) Garrett-Frey, Virginia Beach, VA, Three Grandsons: Aaron Kenseth, Deerfield, WI, Jeremy (Debbie) Kenseth, Ankeny, IA, and Jonathan Garrett, Virginia Beach, VA, and Great-Grandsons: Ryan and Jesse. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson with Rev. Chris Buckingham-Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
