Obituary of Ruth Evelyn Heiliger

Ruth Evelyn HEILIGER, age 89, of Cambridge, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Our House Assisited Living in Cambridge, WI surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on the farm in London, Wisconsin on February 20, 1921, the daughter of Ole and Ardella (Baker) Netland. She resided in Cambridge all her life. Ruth graduated from Cambridge High School. On May 1, 1946, Ruth married LaVere Heiliger in Chicago, Illinois. They were married 41 years before, LaVere preceded Ruth in death on April 20, 1987. Ruth was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Surviving are: Daughter: Phyllis (James) Huska, Lake Mills, WI, Son: Edward (Elizabeth) Heiliger, Billings, MT, Grandchildren: Sarah (Eric) Whyte, Milwaukee, WI, Peter Huska, St. Charles, IL, Meghan (Rev. Paul) Kuckhahn, Watertown, WI, Kim (Ben) Graff, Cottage Grove, MN, Candace Lorenz, Cottage Grove, MN and Cameron (Andrea) Heiliger, Ankara, Turkey. Great-Grandchildren: Alex, Clayton, Anna, Roby, Dalton, Ethan, and Theodore. Sisters: Myrtle Lundey, Oregon, WI, and Shirley Griggs, Tucson, AZ, and Brothers-in-law: Howard (Jan) Heiliger and Leonard (Irene) Heiliger. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 11:00AM at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Wisconsin with Rev. Jeffrey Schallert officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Ripley Cemetery, in Town of Oakland, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9:00AM on Wednesday at the church until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. James Ev. Lutheran Church or to Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, WI.
