Obituary of Marion Ruth Jordan

Marion Ruth JORDAN, age 82, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday November 17, 2010. Marion was born on September 29, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Hosely) Schneider of the New Glarus area. She lived in the Whitewater area all her life. On January 19, 1946, Marion married Lyle Jordan. Marion worked at Rossings Department Store in Whitewater for 18 years and then in the food service department at UW-Whitewater until her retirement. Surviving are: Husband: Lyle Jordan, Whitewater, WI, Two Children: Richard Jordan, Whitewater, WI, and Vickie (Jim) Meyer, Whitewater, WI, Grandchildren: Benjamin Jordan, Kori (Chad) Gainey, Laura Jordan, Andrew Jordan, Lisa (Sean) McGarry/Meyer, & Jordan (Windy) Meyer, Seven Great-Grandchildren, Brother: Nathan (Evelyn) Schneider, and Sister-in-Law: Joyce Schneider. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Merle, Leon, Elmer, and Wayne Schneider and sisters: Doris Brown, and Pauline Miller. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 22, 2010, at 12:00PM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Rev. Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10AM on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, WI until the services.
